QuiltCon in Phoenix

I finally made it to QuiltCon this year.  It was held in Phoenix, so it was easy to get there.  I talked 4 of my friends into going and we rented a VRBO in nearby Scottsdale.  What a fabulous show!  600 quilts, vendors, classes, lectures, and tons of fun with friends.  We took a picture in front of the auction quilt that was made by the Portland Modern Quilt Guild, even though we didn't work on it ourselves.

I took lots of pictures, and so did everyone else.  One of my favorite places to see the quilts with all of the descriptions is on a YouTube channel called The Cat Bird Quilts.  This is the second year of her excellent review of QuiltCon.  I couldn't do a better job, for sure!  The winning quilt was a stunning 2-sides quilt based on a stainless steel/glass statue called, "Dignity".  Here's a video:  Dignity interview.  By Veruschka Zarate.

I am only going to post a few pictures from the many, many categories.

We took a picture in the picture booth as we were departing the show.  I almost knocked over the sign!  So inspired, so tired, and so excited.

I can't wait to go again in 2 years!
