Clark County Quilters Show - 2025

Clark County Quilters held their annual Quiltfest in March 2025 at the Clark County Event Center.  So many beautiful quilts.  It is always fun for me to volunteer at the show to help set it up, sell tickets, do other jobs during the show, meet with friends, and talk to the public.  Here are some of the highlights:

It was a lovely show!

QuiltCon in Phoenix

I finally made it to QuiltCon this year.  It was held in Phoenix, so it was easy to get there.  I talked 4 of my friends into going and we rented a VRBO in nearby Scottsdale.  What a fabulous show!  600 quilts, vendors, classes, lectures, and tons of fun with friends.  We took a picture in front of the auction quilt that was made by the Portland Modern Quilt Guild, even though we didn't work on it ourselves.

I took lots of pictures, and so did everyone else.  One of my favorite places to see the quilts with all of the descriptions is on a YouTube channel called The Cat Bird Quilts.  This is the second year of her excellent review of QuiltCon.  I couldn't do a better job, for sure!  The winning quilt was a stunning 2-sides quilt based on a stainless steel/glass statue called, "Dignity".  Here's a video:  Dignity interview.  By Veruschka Zarate.

I am only going to post a few pictures from the many, many categories.

We took a picture in the picture booth as we were departing the show.  I almost knocked over the sign!  So inspired, so tired, and so excited.

I can't wait to go again in 2 years!

Granddaughter's Quilt - Finished!

I got the quilt back from my longarmer - C Squared Quilting - and it's gorgeous.  Corrie is an amazing quilter that can do custom quilting, or edge to edge.  She knows exactly which batting is perfect for the quilt and supplies that too.

The pattern she chose for this quilt is "Ba Da Boom" and its young and fresh.  Just perfect for a graduation quilt.

Now, I just have to put on the binding and store it for a year.

Crisscross - all quilted

I got the quilt back from C Squared Quilting that I had named crisscross.  It is stunning, as is all of her work.  Corrie recently purchased a second longarm machine and is taking in both Edge to Edge (E2E) quilting and custom quilting.

For this quilt, she used black batting and an edge to edge pattern called "Raindrops on Water".  It's perfectly quilted and I love it!

I hope you like it too!
